My CSP expired two months ago. They never sent me a new one. I tried to sign up for the CSP last night and got DENIED. The card still shows up as active in my Chase portal. I want the CSR, but would take the CSP if the 100K bonus is available. What should I do? I need something new to give me a quick fix and lift my spirits.

And if I call to cancel the CSP account for which I don't have a card, let alone a non-expired card? I got the original CSP bonus more than 48 months ago.

maybe. not sure if there is a cool off period they make you wait through or not.

  I'll give it a shot as it's the only truly great thing I could use for this and beyond.  Worst case, I get my current Ink card converted to the no-fee type and I'll still have at least one more shot for a 5/24 Chase even if they count the attempt as 1/24.

I'll probably be getting a big check to be paying for all these things first, so I could open up a Chase bank account (maybe even a biz one!) with it first for however that might help.

What are the non-Chase version of awesome transferable UR's that would be good to get into if I needed to?  Citi T-Y points look useless to me.

So the resolution I thought I had done 6 months ago fell through, but now it's finally happening.  I've already switched my grandfathered biz card to the current equivalent that doesn't have the annual fee.  I had to do that before applying for the new card with a 100K bonus b/c I was up against the fee deadline and I just now got to conclusion that I'm getting this lump of cash to go and buy all the stuff I need for my place.

What's nice is that I can use my existing/switched card right now to buy $10k of stuff I need from Lowe's as the Ink cards are doing 5x on home improvement the rest of the month, plus I can probably get a deal at Lowe's by being good w/paying for the whole thing there right that moment.

I can then still try to get the additional type of Ink card with the 100K bonus (and maybe use it to buy more stuff at Lowe's I'd need at 5x), but I'm checking here one last time to see if there's anything that wouldn't have the "business card" hassle that could come close bonus-wise.

I'll be quickly spending another 25-40K on stuff I need with the new card(s) I get.

I got my CSR in September of 2018.  I can't cancel that and get a new CSP w/bonus until at least late 2022, right?

Iit’s been a while so I don’t remember the details, but we were even going a step further and using BA to pay AA to fly Alaska.  It looks like AA and Alaska are still connected enough.

yeah they're connected, trying to book a flight to seattle doing it and when i try to redeem miles in AA, the alaska flights aren't popping up, which doesn't make sense since they actually have direct flights from kc.  makes me think i can't do it anymore or i'm missing something simple.

Should be really easy, to the point you barely see that it’s an Alaska flight you’re booking on AA. Check the Alaska site itself for if flights and particularly award flights are available from them directly for the days you’re looking at.

2nd Ink card was awarded easily enough, although I may have to call to try to get credit shifted from my original one to my new one in order to make it really easy to hit my spend quickly.  Probably should've listed that I plan to spend more each month in my application.

Unrelated to what I can do now, Chase has made Preferred even closer to Reserve as to useful benefits.  Unless I become a frequent flyer soon to where I'm always using those Priority Pass lounges, it'll be time next year to cancel CSR and get a CSP and new bonus as soon as I can.

Got approved for the 100k csp today! 3.5 years ago I had a sub 600 credit score and the csp was my end goal for improving my rating, so just remember to never give up on your dreams.

I just got a 100k bonus for a new ink with 3x travel. I still have my grandfathered ink with 2x dining. Canceled right before I got hit with the new $595 fee (less $300 travel). I’m not doing any big pleasure traveling the next year. Will use those 2 inks to sub for the sapphire and go back to CSP next year (or CSR if covid’s over and it’s worth it).
