yep, if you haven't dabbled in UR yet they are the best point (by far)

For the extra $450, I get $300 annual travel credit, $137.50 more in points value when redeeming miles through UR (1.5 cents versus 1.25 cents), $100 Global Entry credit, plus the Priority Pass at airports.

Sucks that I've also got to shell out another $75 to get my wife a second card, but that's the same cost for both Reserve and Preferred.

And if I choose the cancel the Reserve (like before incurring a second annual fee), I either redeem my points before I cancel or just transfer them all to my Rapid Reward account?

I thought it was a simple as keeping a Chase Freedom or something open to keep the points active?

KSUW first off i can't believe you f with credit cards but never UR's yet.
secondly if you plan on getting another CSP/CSR at some point, just store the points on a freedom card until then. you cannot transfer the points anywhere from the freedom account tho.
if this is your one and only CSP/CSR then yeah i guess transfer them to southwest or hyatt or whatever you were planning on using them for, before cancelling.

Other benefit of that card (reason I got it) was $3000 EQD after $25k spend...helped push to status quicker.

lets people give examples of status matches they requested and whether they were approved or denied. Alaska Air gave me MVP Gold 75k through Dec. 2018 to match my Delta Diamond
