there is a $1500/7500 point limit per quarter.  i'm more talking about the idea that people must be using their freedoms on non-bonus category spend than missing out on using them on bonus category spend, but it is super annoying when you realize you missed a chance to get those five ur's.

FWIW...I had to call MLife directly to get the matching status from Hyatt.  Their link between the websites was absolute crap.  They also both respond very well to shoutouts via Twitter.

I pay the citi prestige one which is in line with those... But you get 250 in airline credit (which you can double up in one cycle getting it in two calendar years) and lounge access so well worth it.

I do on the plat amex. I like having lounge access and the $250 airline fee refund offsets over half of it. also get Hilton Gold, SPG Gold, Amex Fine Hotels, some other crap. I will cancel it if there's a UR product that offers similar benefits though.

Thanks for the reminder but don't remind me... I had planned to drop it this fall anyways and move on to either Amex or AA elite card. Are you able to use up the 250 credit in fees or do you buy gift cards?

yeah, I use them almost immediately to buy up to first class.

most likely.   In fact, evidence is building that suggests more of the conbranded cards (SW, etc.) now fall under 5/24 as well

I believe they generically say too many existing credit lines.
