Mrs. WonderMeal got the Hyatt card last year--used the two nights at Beaver Creek (was glorious). Rooms at the Ziva look to be ~$400/night. Given that we're having work done on the house at the same time, I'd prefer not to spend any of my hard-earned EMAWbucks if possible.

Mrs. WM is pretty much Chased out, and I fear I'm right there, too...hence the hesitation against using URs.

Friends. Have to take fam to Denver this summer. I know flights from KC are cheap but I don't want to pay. I have Freedom and Sapphire cards and 50k ish points currently. I'm not opposed to getting the SW card, but since I don't travel much I'd rather not. Should I just keep getting Chase points then use the Chase portal or convert them to Southwest miles or something?

then, if you discover that paying with UR miles is the better bet...just pay cash because it's a ripoff

I discovered this recently. I know it still isn't the best use of points but since I don't travel for work anymore I flip cards for fun mostly. Most of the time I get gift cards with the points so at least this is a bit better return on my zero investment.

Also I have a separate tab for closed accounts which has the additional column of Cancel Date.

According to the offer, it says any hyatt property in any category, so I think that you'd be in the clear.  And I think that would be a fantastic place to spend those free nights!  The 1 free per year is only cat 1-4, though.

Nope, do it, but you should use your SSN. I use my SSN as a sole proprietorship. I use actual revenue figure ($14)
