Yeah Pete, it's great. You could get the Freedom which also gives you UR points (you'll want to merge them with the UR points of your CSP). It has quarterly 5 point bonus categories. This quarter we're getting 5x on gas, next quarter will be Amazon and Dept Stores. It has no annual fee but the sign up is small. I think you should have it as its a great companion for the CSP. Check first post in thread for a link. Note the bonus goes up a small amount periodically but I don't know when/if it will next.

pete, an ink business card is a great companion to that sapphire. don't recall your marital status, but either way, it's worth planning out your ur strategy so you always have a card and can still cancel each card when annual fees hit.

The WonderMeals have 13. Just booked travel to a Fightin' Wildcats game, all Christmas travel, and four nights in a hotel for a grand total of $46. Feels good.

After 1.75 years of a companion pass for Mrs. WM, I'm going to begin the process for myself. I found a SW Premier card link for 50k that has a $99 fee that isn't waived--does anyone know if there is a link out there that has a fee waived in the first year?

Also, I just have to earn the 110,000th point at the beginning of next year to qualify, correct? I don't have to earn them all in the same calendar year, do I?

I think you do have to earn them all in the same calendar year.

same calendar year. don't apply for one until December so the bonus cashes in January. Then get the other one (if available).

I mean, the Hyatt Cancun all-inclusive isn't much longer of a flight from KC than most of those options. I think he should change his parameters.

I about 35,000 spg points and I want to book 2 rooms using points on the same night. It won't let me do this online, but have people had luck booking over the phone this way? I think I talked my way in to the club level even though I was using points a few times, but I can't remember.

Should have f'ing done this before my Vegas trip. Got to put everything on my card for the weekend. Racked up $5k in spend w/ the boyz. Would've been nice. But getting a lot of points from my CSP for all those "restaurants" we spent all our time at.

It's looking like my next gig will put me in KC for about 7 months or so, with flight out of town just once a month. That's great but diminishes the lounge benefit for me. I think I will still do this.

I just nailed down the bonus on that Gold Amex link you previously posted...what is the best time to cancel it after that, like right away, or should I wait X period of time before I cancel it? I don't want to foul this up.

Delta, BA, SPG (though that is only 1:2), some Asian and Middle East carriers. There are good blog posts by Lucky about how to get the best value but a lot of that will be from your ability/desire to fly first class internationally.
