Can someone tell me what card to use at what locations (i.e. restaurants, gas stations) to maximize the bonus points?

if you've gotten the bonus on the hyatt and AA cancel them both and get an Ink business and use it on everything until you get the bonus

Of those 3, CSP for everything except when you buy something from/through Hyatt or AA.

Also, the Mrs. has some side gigs every now and again. Maybe about one project per year. Is that enough to consider her a business owner? Should I try to get the Ink?

I just got the Hyatt about a month ago...already met the spend and got the bonus though. 

Just got the Sapphire in April. Gooch just got the AA in December. He is getting another Sapphire now.

I don't want to close them too soon after opening.

citi advant plat has poor ordinary spend bonuses, but they have offers out all the time.  call in and threaten to cancel and they'll give you 1000 miles for every billing period where you spend 1k.  and then they have these extra bonuses all the time that you have to register for.  like currently an extra mile for online spend.  so, depending on you spend, you can frequently get 2-3 miles per dollar of spend.

i have a fair amount of spend that would only get 1 ur point, and aa miles are usually easier for me to use that united miles.

Is there any way I can get my Delta miles to transfer to something else like SPG? I only fly Delta into like 3 airports and would rather use those points elsewhere. TIA

just go somewhere new. I mean I imagine Delta flies to more than three places you want to go. sheesh.

My point is that I have loads of United Miles and SW points that I actually use and accrue and these Delta ones seem like a real waste. Plus, I really hate Delta and the only reason that I fly them is because all the other airlines times to small airports suck.

Already got kinda burned on 60,000 semi-worthless Hilton pts at 1,000 spend in first 3 months.

discussed on last page, but sure, if you want to stay at a marriott.  you get 15 nights also so you're basically silver every year automatically.  I don't remember the benefits to silver but it's probably like a free mint or something.

Make sure to pay attention to the annual fee....on the offer I saw they do not waive the $85 annual fee. I decided not to get that card because Gooch thinks Marriott points are garbage.

silver is 10 nights and the card gives you 15 nights every year, so yes, in a roundabout way it's included with the card

got a flight to mexico city for 27k ur.  even if good redemptions would have been available (there weren't any), it would have been 35k aa or united miles.

i need to remember to leave more points in ur.

yeah, I leave all of them there for stuff like that. I actually got my parents first class flights from wichita to san fran that way because they were less than $500 each.

it's decent. normally 30k but 50k pops up from time to time. low min spend though. I say go for it (assuming you've never had the card before because Amex will kick your ass if you have)

they are like UR points but suckier. unless you are going to get crazy and fly some super suite class Etihad flight to Dubai or something your best bet is to trasfer them to BA for distance based domestic AA/USA flights. they also transfer to Delta, Hilton, SPG (3 to 1 or 2 to 1 or something though for SPG). can also be used to book travel directly at some redemption that's probably around 1 cpm. I'm not very knowledgeable about MR points because I haven't had a MR card in years.
