Probably. United has fees on any award bookings under 21 days.

A $75 fee will be charged for award tickets booked less than 21 days before departure

I did not realize you could use points through the ur portal. Do you buy the ticket then apply points to it after? What was the redemption rate

The points are just redeemed at a set value towards a paid ticket. It's a bad deal. Better to just buy the revenue ticket.

it was an emergency travel requirement, so flying for free felt felt better than paying cash. i can see your point that UR points are worth more than cash but I dont know it because I am a tlbl cc thread guy

maybe you guys can make a pie chart illustrating the best things to do with UR points? I saw they transfer 1:1 to AA pts, which is worse than cash.

then he should get an aa business. or if he's married his wife needs to get maxed out. he's gonna have to prove he has extra spend that he can't reasonably use on chase or citi cards before i can endorse a barclays. he really should have to prove he doesn't need usbank, capone or amex cards as well.

ridiculously bad customer service. and they make you pay an annual fee! an annual fee for their stupid little cards that are worse than all their competitors' cards. at a very minimum i'd make sure you and your wife can't get any more citi aa cards before i'd give barclays a dime.

I have never worked at a job long enough to get over two weeks. Although I now get the two weeks plus a floating holiday every quarter. 30 days, wow.
