Have any of you started getting spam calls since opening a business card? I'm getting three to four a day in the last week. They're getting smarter too. Area code is spoofing to local number. So I answer thinking it's a legit call.

Just booked Christmas and Labor Day travel for The WonderMeal family using SW points/companion pass. Cost me $50 total. I know this isn't as sexy in this thread as booking RowdyyBoy's First Class Tokyo Journey, but it still feels good, you guys.

   

Mrs. WonderMeal, who has been pretty skeptical of churning (yet still let me use her SSN carte blanche) is now officially on board w/ the growing stack of credit cards on the desk.

If you have any income (or are OK w/ lying about your income) and nothing bad on your credit history you should be able to get approved w/ any card mentioned. Start w/ the AA or BA or Chase Sapphire.

I recommend the sd/kkk frontier discount if your very near future predates you being where you need to be with credit cards.

Frontier sucks so bad these days I wouldn't fly them (charge for a carry on!) so I'd look at United or SW for nonstop flights.   This is assuming out of KC.   IS this expensed travel or personal?

In that time, my credit score has increased by 38 points. (Prob due to my credit utilization or whatever it's called.)

United is going the way Delta went and you now earn miles based on the cost of your ticket instead of your miles flown. These people who mile run flights lose out because the miles they earn are now (or in 2015 anyway) directly proportional to what they pay for their ticket. AA is really the last domestic holdout that will still be doing it the old way and I'd expect them to switch soon. it's stupid to do it any other way because of people who mileage run flights all the time. I'm sure you know but for those that don't really follow this stuff people will "mileage run" flights by finding super cheap flights that are really long and just flying them to earn the miles. They do it because they earn so many cents per mile and/or re-qualify for their elite status. Now they will just have to spend a ton on whatever carrier to earn either and their cents per mile advantage they could find looking for huge deals dissapears.
