oh man. some very close friend of mine have been to st maarten like five times. they love it. have fun mocat and future ms mocat. there are two very distinctive sides/parts of the island though or something like that. one is fun and one is snoozeville. i'd advise to pick the fun side.

yes. it's called Multi-stop (not RT) in Delta's vocab. you can have open jaws in multi-stop itineraries

of course once you get status it's way easier to keep status because of the multipliers.

When I moved the company put me in a Residence Inn for 30 days which let me keep some status but sucked because Residence inns are like .75 points/dollar or something idiotic.

residence inns get 5 points per dollar, most other marriott properties get 10

Yeah I figured it was a sure fire bet for being better than the four points next door to it.

Both nights in NYC are going to be free also due to Hyatt card. The free nights have not shown up yet so idk if I will get park Hyatt or not

Also, regarding delta (and everyone else) devaluing their miles: if I run the same itinerary and change ONE of the legs to first class, it goes from 35k to like 67k
