Evan Daniels ?@EvanDanielsFOX 2m

Alexander, http://Scout.com 's No. 5 player, faked the Illinois hat and picked up the Kansas hat.

Rough day for the breads.  :sdeek:

Snider hurt because he was committed.  No one who didn't have their head up their ass thought Cliff was going to Illinois.  Still what a fuckface if the hat thing is true.  I'll tuck my shirt right down into my underpants on that.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I didn't see it, but I don't think Daniels would lie about it. Definitely a low blow.
Not very good at this BBS'in thing.

I was watching it on ESPNU, can confirm the hat thing .
Best #heel and/or #babyface on this blogsite

If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

Also can confirm. I saw him reach for Illinois, then smiled and turned around. Looked back at the TV. Said he was committed to Kansas, and he was wearing the KU hat. I was like, "WTF?"

15 players out of what(30 teams x 14 players/team approx = )420 NBA players weren't rated as top 150 recruits.

Doesn't seem to be an exact science?  :dunno:

Dom was amazing you eff. Also Nick could of been good here.

Yeah what a rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Dom was as JYC as they came. Stud boss. Just because he transferred doesn't mean he was a bust. :dubious:

Wow, relax peeps.  You guys are angry elves.  I was not suggesting that Dom was awful, I was suggesting that he was a 150 guy that didn't make it to the NBA.  In addition, there were some quality non-150 guys that did great things for our program.  I never suggested that our program should be okay with getting kids outside of the 150.  I only used our team as an example since this was a KSU board.  The overall point was that rivals 150 really is not a good measuring stick for NBA success.  The list was merely a small sample size to illustrate its not an exact science.

If you need a hug, Tyler Hughes is available.

None of the players not in the 150 that you mentioned made the NBA. :dubious:

Not sure how they help your NBA argument.

We all know Self has got the cheating thing down, but why has it panned out so well these last two classes?  I mean, has he found another Doug Compton that can double up on the cheating and stuff?  This has to be a direct result of his kid and Manning being on the team, right?

This is the only reason I am happy we have that rich Dallas kid walking on next year.

Simple, with all the hoopla surrounding Wiggins, Adidas sees a hot property and are thusly pumping capital into it. It's a smart investment.

No.  We lost a top five committed kid and we still had oscar leading us to our most losses in a single season.  That was a very dark time for me as a basketball fan.

I mean, yeah. It's stupid to hire and X and O guy over a recruiter because if the recruiter doesn't pan out, hey, how appealing of a job for the next guy.

Illinois hasn't pulled elite Chicago public league kids since the late 1980s.  So like way before I gave a eff about Illinois basketball.  Not oscar's fault obvs.  He did set it back from where Self had it headed tho.  Really also not his fault.  It was a shitty hire.  We got what we signed up for.  A derpy eff that couldn't recruit and that people liked to mock us for.

i watched "the decision" live with my bros (at Crane Alley in Urbana!).  they weren't as guarded as i was.  they went a little nuts when he made the reach for that signature I hat.  i knew better though - calloused from my years of recruiting misses from the football cats.

anyways.  i guess the only thing we can do now is binge.
