Moose & Perez picking 'em up with two outs. Clutch hitting.

I was still pissed at Moose for that previous double play. NOW I'M HAPPY THOUGH.

i love it when the royals steal bases.  i'd be happy if they resigned bonifacio at second for that reason alone.

lol so true.  LOL at jtksu being amazed with utility players.  I bet he loved the scotty pods signing too.  Idiot.

Just guessing, but 89 the last time the Royals finished with a better winning percentage than K-State football?

4 games back in the wild card, with the WC the best we can hope for.  After Seattle clears town, the next 4 series are with Cleveland and Detroit. Ground gaining time, boys, ground gaining time. Now or never.

Really having fun this season.  This is all I want from you, Royals.  You inept, lovable, pieces of crap.

If you're cool, you've heard of up and coming hipster alternative hip hop artist Lorde from New Zealand. Her new song "Royals" (which you'll be hearing on the radio a lot in the next few months most likely) not only shares the name with the team, but was inspired by a picture of a former player of some sort:

Quote
“I had this image from the National Geographic of this dude just signing baseballs,” Lorde told us when we sat down with her recently. “He was a baseball player and his shirt said, ‘Royals.’” Lorde was so taken by the image and the word that she penned the song around that idea. ”It was just that word. It’s really cool.”

Coincidence?

I think not.

yeah the royals had a great race. had a pretty good start off the blocks, stumbled through the first turn, stayed middle of the pack on the far straightaway, made up a crap load of ground on the last turn, and then sort of ran out of gas in the last straightaway and fell about 10 feet from the baton hand-off zone, where CFB was waiting patiently. pretty entertaining. actually it was extremely entertaining.

after the royals got back up from their fall, they passed the baton to CFB, still around the middle of the pack. CFB tripped on its own feet however and promptly fell down as well. a loophole in the rules allows for the baton passer offer (royals) to retake the baton and run part of CFB's lap until CFB catches up.

Really should've gone 6-0 against Houston. Not fair that the West teams get them so many times.

We can make up for it by going 7-0 vs Seattle. Would be incredible.

 at all you people.  Thinking the royals actually might make the playoffs

I was there earlier, with that glimmer of hope, and then they dashed it a couple of weeks ago.....

The script over the next few weeks:

they win some more games, get ever soooooooo close, only to tank the last 2 weeks.....lose 10 out of their last 14 games to settle for 500.  You watch....
Awaiting the inevitable KITN

I'm not 100% certain who has stated that they think the Royals will make it. All we're saying is we're hopeful and enjoying the ride.

Stop being cynical and enjoy the ride that is September baseball. Its a long shot, but hope is a wonderful thing. I'm enjoying these silly ol' Royals, and even if your prediction is right, we've had some fun nights with this team, and we can hope for even better things next year.

yeah, it's fun.

not so scared of walker tonight.  who knows if he can do two in a row, and even if he can, he only pitched five innings last time.

the royals have been absolutely terrible when facing rookie studs this year
