Did Ned really just call a hit and run with Elliot batting?  Or is he just stupid enough to swing horribly and miss?

this pitcher has thrown 30 strikes and 90 pitches but the score is 2-1 how is that even possible

That is what happens when you put 3 bunt-first batters in succession in a lineup.

yeah it was rhetorical, glad we are on the same page here

Hilarious how many guys this pitcher has walked.  Even more hilarious how many more walks he could have this game if our batters weren't Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

EDIT:  Take what I said above back...new pitcher.  But he sucks too.

Detroit has a 3-run lead over White Sox now, and Cleveland has come back to tie Minnesota at 7.   :frown:

Are we really still on the divisional race thing?   It's all about that 2nd wildcard spot people.  There's no way in hell we are coming back and catching the Tigers.  We will decide our fate with CLE when we face them.

In other news,  OAK is losing 0-1

EDIT:  Actually, it was Baltimore.... and now they are up 4-1  :dubious:

focus on texas baltimore and tampa bay for now. you still have plenty of games against detroit and cleveland to do your own damage but the way they keep playing you want to focus on the wild card (i know cleveland is also in the wild card race)

He's mumped two plays now that Billy Butler could have fielded.  That was the slowest dribbler ever right to him.  My god...

Just sell him for a vending machine or something. AAA roster spots should be reserved for prospects.

True.. it'd be nice he could be the player to be named in either of our trade situations.  The Royals arent that lucky though.

- There was a soft dribbler down a few feet right of the foul line at 3rd... Johnson charged to barehand it and throw to first only to give up and lift up before reaching the ball allowing it to pass.  Luckily, Alcedes was backing up and barely got to the ball in time to throw home and tag the guy out who was on 2nd and went home after this miss.

- A soft normal play was hit right at him and he was like one of those preschool kids you see wait on the ball and it goes under their glove and they fall on their butt.  This allowed a run later on.

- He was batting and might have been a hit and run (why?) but swung at a terrible pitch and struck out.  (The only player to strike out against a pitcher who threw 80-90 pitches and 30 some strikes.

- He has a dumb face.

eff Dayton Moore for bringing in Jamie Carroll who is a broke dick, and can't hit worth a crap. And eff Ned Yost for having Getz and Johnson batting at the same time on the line-up.

And double eff Johnson for be a awful awful awful shitty baseball player.

What a rough ridin' Costco-sized fail.

Maybe the Royals should see if Cal Ripken Jr wants to come play 2nd base. He's not that much older than the guys they keep finding.
