Hosmer booted that ball to first, tough play but you've got to attack that ball with 2 outs.

Moose with three hits including a homer, some clutch pitching late, and the Royals take the series. Sweep tomorrow?

Trade him tonight

yep.

Santana or Holland? Or both? I say both. Holland's value will never ever be higher.

Kinda short sighted on the Holland part.  Dude is young and has been the best closer in the game for the last 6 weeks or so. But yeah, trade him before we lose him in free agency anyway.  Sucks though, because that dude has been damn near irreplaceable this year.

Or maybe the Glass Family finally figures out that they have to put out some cash to keep the good ones. They need to pay the $ to keep Holland. That said, won't surprise me if they again let a great one go. These are not baseball people...what's worse, they are not baseball people who trust real baseball people with critical decision making.

I think we have holland for at least 3 more years.  No reason to deal him now if you want to win in the next two.

hey guys. we had the best closer in baseball before. a couple years ago in fact. we signed him to a long term deal. we could have traded him for a big time prospect. we passed on that, kept him so he could collect saves on 90 and 100 loss teams, missed the window of opportunity and watched him blow out his elbow. closers come and go. they are not impossible or even necessarily difficult to replace. if the right deal is on the table you make it. that being said, i don't know that any deals are on the table for holland yet.

everybody should be for sale.  if any team will offer more than they're worth, send them packing.

Yost is an idiot Tejada needs to play more often, anytime I watch Tejada play he makes a great play with the glove or does something with the bat. Right after Tejada hits a HR Lefebvre is trying to pat Yost on the back saying the reason why Tejada is starting today & not Elliot Johnson is because Fister has a split finger pitch that his hard on lefties.

Both Getz & Johnson suck, both are below average with the glove & can't hit crap. Johnson is a careeer .220 hitter & is batting .209 this season.

rany is on board with trading holland now. a package including both santana and holland would bring back a nice haul.

tejada used to be a great player.  he's probably too old to play productively every day, but he's been the best option at 2nd in his limited time this year.  i'd be fine with tejada platooning or whatever, even if it means playing getz/johnson half the time.  or with gio starting.  whichever.

playing getz and johnson the majority of the time is just stupid.

Yes, the problem is the Royals have not come remotely close to testing this hypothesis because they are too comfortable with the other terrible options.  Getz and Johnson should be gone.  Tejada/Giovatella until proven otherwise.

Ned plays players who are actively hurting the team and it's pretty hilarious that some of you blame him for it considering Elliot Johnson and Chris Getz shouldn't be in an MLB organization let alone team.

This.

Getz is so bad it's unbelievable. I still can't believe he went 4 years without hitting a HR.
