Escobar (much like everyone else) would probably benefit from a bit of routine and staying in one role offensively.  And LRL is great in theory but it's a luxury few teams have.

What do you mean by staying in one role offensively if you weren't saying that players in different spots in the order assume different roles?

Its almost as if you're illiterate you're just not even reading my posts.

It's almost as if you figured out you were talking out of your ass, got called on it, and now are deflecting the ignorance hoping I go away

There's no way your reading comprehension is this bad. Seriously, go back and read my posts.  This crap is ridiculous.

Incorrect. You really think the stud power hitters in the game are more concerned with getting on base or driving in runs? The batting order matters because certain people have skillsets that lend them to a spot in the order. I mean, I guess it's everybody's goal to simply hit the ball and get on base but this ain't little league so dudes do have different roles.
So, you think that if Jose Bautista is batting leadoff, he will change his approach? You think if Jarrod Dyson bats cleanup, he's going to start swinging for the fences? Cmon man. Players are slotted into lineups to suit their skillset, yes, but the approach of a player is dictated by his skillset, not his place in the lineup

I'm starting to wonder if there is some sort of Curse of Bo Jackson or something going on here. KC drafted and signed Bo in the spring of '86 and haven't made the postseason since...

We still have some very good seasons. Also, only two teams from each league made the playoffs vs 5 now. Letting John Schuerholz (Braves GM) walk out the door was the worst thing the Royals ever did.

Very disappointing result today. This team has continued to get better throughout the year (No Francouer, no Getz and Hosmer started hitting). I think the 2nd half of the year will be significantly better than the first and we can be approximately 12 games over at the end of the year. That would be a huge success by itself even if we didn't get a playoff spot.

We have 7 games with Seattle.              .440 winning
10 games with the Chicago White Sox.   .404
9 games with Minnesota.                       .416
3 with Miami.                                        .367
3 with the Mets.                                   .455

32 Games

Lets do 22-10 (68.75%) and break even with the better teams.
That would put us 9 games over.
If we can pick up a few against Cleveland (9 games) that would help also.

Trade deadline is still a few weeks away.
