That's pretty cool, is he the Royals' all-time leading scorer?  :dubious:

Really want today for JS. Get him above .500 for the year, and get revenge for opening day.
This.  Could really use some offensive support.

Dear Rex haters,

Quote from: Buster Olney
@Buster_ESPN Always love listening to Rex Hudler and Ryan Lefebvre on Royals games. Rex is an original, and I don't know anybody who loves baseball more.

Rex just said Royals fans are scarred from losing and a little guarded.

We are, Rex. We really are.  :frown:

Sale's pitch count was 36 after 1.  Hopefully he'll wear out soon and we can put a few more runs up.

Listening on the radio and denny/physioc did not do a very good job of describing the play...sounded like he should have made the catch...why wasn't it an error?

It was a diving attempt.  Not routine.

frenchy ruined the no-no

 :bang:

A) shields already had given up a walk, so it wasn't a no-no
B) frenchy's error was ruled an error, so it didn't ruin the no-hitter
C) Wise got a hit to ruin the no-hitter in the next inning

A walk does not ruin a no-no. It does ruin a perfect game.

i'll be polite about this.

a) a walk maintains a no-hitter
b) frenchy had made an error in the previous inning on a routine fly ball. the play i'm referring to was not routine thus not an error, but should have been made.
c) if frenchy makes the play the entire universe is altered thus we never know what would have happened had he made that play that a major league outfielder should make.

Most of the team appears to be playing pretty poorly today. 1 run scored through 7? GMAFB. Thank goodness Shields is having a great day.

Happens. It's just awesome that we have the pitching to consistently compete when we don't score much.

I feel like these guys only hit when they absolutely need to.  If the pitcher is pitching great...they seem to no longer want to hit the ball.  Very nerve-racking.  Sales has been doing great since the 1st so I don't want to take anything away from his efforts today.
