BITB has blown the lid off of this.  Royals taking tax payer gifts and paying taxes/cable tv/utilities.

Holy eff, he is in his element.

He lives for this.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Yuni DFA'd. Was complaining about playing time and his attitude didn't mesh well with the rest of the team.  Got rid of Sanchez, Broxton and now Yuni. Please god let Francoeur be next.

Baffling move to bring Abreu up instead of Giavotella. In Omaha this year:

Abreu .322/.347/.492
Giavotella .332/.419/.498

I guess we are the Royals. And this is Dayton Moore.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Apparently, "club estimates suggest it would likely cost $2.5 million to retain him next season through arbitration.  That amount was deemed too high when weighed against the alternatives."

... the alternatives being???  spending some money for a decent ballplayer?

IMO the bullpen will be fine. My issue is did we just think this through yesterday? I mean, we had the trade deadline looming. Obviously he isn't worthy to be traded for some hot up and coming prospect, but at least get SOMETHING for him. Hell, sell him for cash. I mean, we're being fed all this "we're on a budget" talk and "every dollar counts" and now we're just giving players away? And a guy who's put together a solid season for us? We're always reminded that this is a business, but moves like this are completely contradictory.

sisson, yuni and now mijares..

gotta be scapegoats. royals are floating news of a sisson and ned disagreement, yuni complaining about playing time, mijares is apparently difficult to manage..

royals are a complete clustereff.

This is exactly what it is. eff this ownership. If Royals fans all got together and sent mass mailings to Selig and flooded his office with phone calls, is there any way MLB could force Glass to sell the team?

They have not had to weather an organized, focused, and sustained social media-driven effort to discourage casual/walk-up fan type support, for starters.  This will at least make the front office very uncomfortable.  BITB has been baiting for something for several weeks but can't lead it and burn access bridges.  Sounds very willing to talk about some kind of organized fan discontent for hours though.

Bud Selig and MLB doesn't give 2 shits.

He's an above average defensive catcher, and an excellent hitter. Probably best player on our team, and it's not even close.

I know but he really struggles throwing runner out.  I thought he'd be better.
