Obviously this was the end of Sanchez.  But I bet they pretend he was hurt and stick him on the 15 DL.  That is a Royals practice when "hurt" = "sucks but Moore is unable to admit a crappy player"

15 is not long enough.  He could ride the rest of the (regular) season out on the 60.

Denied.  We will see Sanchez pitch again for the Royals.

I hope it's after we trade him and he comes back all improved in 5 years.

What are we going to trade him for? A Coca-Cola machine for the clubhouse?

I would make that trade in a heartbeat if I could find some sucker out there willing to give up the machine.

Robison Cano's dad?  :dunno:  Win-win for both parties.

Exactly.  And the remainder of this season and offseason are where Glass's legacy will be written.

Either KC get 2 quality starters or they do not.  There is nothing more that needs to be said.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Quote
Weber mentioned that the Kansas City Royals have contacted him about throwing out a first pitch at Kauffman Stadium when the team returns from its Brazil trip.

So if you are “The K” in late August or early September, you may get to see the new Wildcat throw out a pitch.

http://cjonline.com/blog-post/jeremy-deckard/2012-07-16/%E2%80%9Cslow-ride-qa%E2%80%9D-k-state-men%E2%80%99s-basketball-coach-oscar-weber

Someone needs to convince BITB to run a booing campaign against him when he does.  Quote Webber as having said something along the lines of how he prefers Chicago chicken nuggets to KC chicken nuggets.  If you really want to rile them up, substitute BBQ for chicken nuggets.  We all know KK doesn't need facts, just hearsay.

Oh, I hate Glass as an owner, have for a long time. The problem with an owner is if they suck they either sell the team or they don't not really anything that can be done about it. And yes, if KC doesn't go out and get at least 2 quality starters this offseason it basically signals to all Royals fans that there officially is no hope.

I'll admit it, I'll say it. Walk-off home runs make me completely forget how terrible the Royals are, just for a minute, and I turn into a little kid again, filled with joy. Even if just for a minute.

I let out a childish scream once CountryBreakfast made contact (knew it was a hr). I think the last time I actually witnessed a Royals walk off homer while actually watching it was in the early 2000s with Beltran  :sdeek:

Dayton got someone to take Sanchez.  Gotta give credit where due.  (am aware he brought in Sanch to begin with)

Decent get for the Royals. Sanchez was gone regardless. Now we just eat $1 mil in salary. The numbers show Guthrie is decent outside of Coors (shocking) and coming into a pitchers park can only help things. He's an innings eater, which our bullpen is in desperate need of. He won't be anything more than average but let's face it, average is pretty good in this rotation. Gets rid of the 5th man merry-go-round spot start. Plus, he's a likeable guy who, unlike Sanchez, gives a crap. I like the get. Would still like to add two solid arms via trade or free agency. If Glass and DM are serious about contending for even the Central next year, this is a must.

The battle for 4th in the AL Central is really heating up.

Royals still only 11 games out of WC Contention.

If we keep leaving Chen in for the 6th after someone gets on, we can count on 1 guaranteed loss every 5 games.

k-state had experienced success in the previous years.

And that team also experienced post season play in a baseball stadium, something the 2012 Royals don't have to worry about.
