Moustakas got robbed of having one of the best defensive plays by a third baseman this season/decade tonight. So it goes for the Royals.

most disappointing for sure.

the starting pitching is so abysmal that it's easy to forget this team has more young talent than any since 2000 and possibly the early 80's.

I've completely checked out.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

yeah they really made it easy for me this year. oh i'll be back next year, but i am done with this season. in fact, i'm sort of rooting for them to lose as many as possible. just for the pure comedy of it.

In general, that is probably true, but I'd argue that the Greinke trade looks pretty good right now...

Cain is constantly hurt, Odorizzi is a AAAA pitcher and Alcides hasn't done it for any length but looks good.

So, it is possibly a decent trade but he was moving the CY YOUNG WINNER.  I could rough ridin' trade that for one everyday middle infielder.  The good ones get 2-3 pieces for THE BEST PITCHER IN BASEBALL.

I dunno, I think Odorizzi is going to be a solid major league pitcher.  Cain has had 2 significant injuries in his pro career, hamstring in 2009, groin/hip this year.  I'm not sure if that qualifies for constantly hurt.

If for nothing else than Alcides and his braces may be the most adorable Royal OAT.

Nobody ever gets what looks to be fair value for a player the quality of Greinke who is publicly demanding a trade. Moore hit a home run. I don't think anybody else would have gotten better results under the same circumstances.

Pirates are going to have a winning record this year.  Their GM was hired AFTER Dayton Moore.  Nationals are a legit World Series contender.  Royals are still the Royals.

we're not gonna be happy at the end of this story. our dreams will not come true. all will fade to black with the sound of soil burying our casket of hopes. thud...thud...thud...thud...
