Yeah. Royals finally caught a break in the 8th when that ball didn't go out. Good for them.

man, hochevar looked just great. hopefully chen can do something tomorrow and we win this series and keep mo going.

He had some great movement tonight but I was still sure he was going to blow it in the 6th inning.  It's a good sign he made it through without imploding.

Just a few more starts like that and I can start believing there was a good reason they've kept him in the rotation.

Hoch had a very good second half of last year. Maybe it's just happening a little earlier this year :dunno:

So stressful all the time. I feel like the royals deserve a blowout. Just one. Like a 15-3 romp over the cards on Friday perhaps?

would be nice, wouldn't it? seems like every other team gets to blow people out once in a while. but no, not us.

i hate myself for doing this to myself but we are 28-22 in our last 50.

if we can keep up a pace somewhat close to that for the rest of the season.

I don't want to make the playoffs this year.  I want to get Myers, Cain, Perez, maybe Odorizzi etc experience so that they can suck this year but be super awesome and badass next year so that we can go undefeated and mush some NL scrub in the WS.

So who's the Royals All-Star(s)(!)?

Will we actually get a position/DH player this year? Or just the usual Bullpen guy?

Hoping Escobar or Billy personally.

This.

A few days ago, KK was campaigning for Butler to be in the Home Run Derby. That would be pretty cool.

welp.. they are doing it again. playing well enough to make me dream.

took this from another board: # of games back in division as of june 20th.

Quote
2012: 4.5 games back
2011: 8.5 games back
2010: 11.5 games back
2009:  7.5 games back
2008:  10 games back
2007:  14 games back
2006:  26.5 games back
2005:  22 games back
2004:  11 games back
2003:  1 game back
2002:  13.5 games back

my gosh this makes me excited. now i'm dreaming of how good we could be with sal, paulino and cain back off the dl. not to mention having odorizzi and myers just a phone call away.. and new and improved hoch (don't trust it) my goodness guys. what if they actually did it  :dunno: i know it's a long shot and the starting rotation is a hot mess.. but the bullpen is incred and on pace to pitch more innings than any other bullpen in history which makes me think, what the hell, why not be history makin' groundbreakin' heroes  :excited:

I'm hoping Ron Washington throws the hope team a bone and adds a couple R's. Moose and Billy would be fantastic.

The fashion in which we've put this latest run together does not lead me to believe that we can maintain this pace. The way that Broxton gets every save leads me to believe he's going to implode here soon and blow 3 saves in a row.

That said, if our rough ridin' worthless offense can somehow start scoring more than 2 or 3 runs in a winning effort, I might start buying in. Kudos to the entire pitching staff thus far this season however.

Just saw this... if he can come in and hit like he has for Omaha it could be a nice shot in the arm for the offense

It's insane that Humberto has seen this much time.  Can't wait to get Sal back.

It will be a joke if our All Star isn't Moose or Tim Collins.  Maybe Aaron Crow.

An absolute rough ridin' joke.

Look at the 3Bs in front of Moose this year. Beltre and Cabrera are in front of him in every single hitting category. And then ARod is going to go. So I'm not sure how many 3Bs can make a single all star game.
