guys, this summer is probably really gonna suck, but it's what needs to happen. we need to sell because I trust trading for other guys talent rather than our guys drafting, which we appear to suck at.

I just don't think we have anyone as valuable enough to jump start this franchise. Who are we really going to get for half a season of Lorenzo Cain? I'd rather be good for one more year because it will probably be more than a decade before it happens again.

Just a guess. Do you see the Royals contending for the playoffs again before 2027? It just doesn't appear to be that likely to me.

I don't see the Royals doing anything that will cripple them for a decade. Really predicting how good a team like the Royals will be more than a couple years into the future is pretty pointless. They will probably need to rebuild for a couple seasons but not a decade good grief.
