I guess that would've been fine. Although in his BEST year in KC, he was at a .649 OPS, and went down from there. In 2014, Giavatella had great stats in Omaha, but did squat in the majors. When we let him go, Colon was 2 years younger, had more years of team control, and had performed better at the plate in his limited at bats. It made sense in 2015, given Infante's remaining contract AND how much upside we had with Colon, to let Johnny go on and play somewhere else, but you could argue we should've kept him. Of course, you didn't argue that we should've kept Johnny G, you argued that Colon is not a major league player and only is up because of draft slot.
