Need Ventura to throw about 4 shutout innings now.   He wasn't awful in the 2nd, but the walk to load the bases wasn't good and he couldn't get a helpful out ( K or Popup).  Cards got 2 runs on groundouts

We really need this game bc I don't like our chances to win either game in STL

Venturra getting into jams and then not getting the big out.

Cards looking like the old school Cards... 2 Gound out RBIs, Ground out moved runner to 3rd and he scores on a SF.

Hey dumbass, young is pitching and volkie has a 6.82 era on the road.  A split would be huge

I know you just started following this team when they got good, but I'm not a dumbass for knowing Ventura is trash and inconsistent. No one should be shocked by this outcome. Trade him!

4.54 ERA this year. The league knows his scouting report and how to toy with him now.

Cf3, to answer your question, I'd send Flynn down. I don't think we need to carry 12 pitchers and Flynn has thrown like 1 inning in the last month.

I like this plan. Cain is due to get injured soon anyway, so we'd only be carrying 4 OFs after that

How could you?

So, In June Clevland starters have given up 53 ER in 26 starts.  23 of those 26 they gave up 3 ER or less ( going at least 5.0 Inn)

In June KC starters have given up 87 ER in 25 starts. Only 11 of the 25 starts did we allow 3 ER or less (going 5.0+)

Just tremendous starting pitching from Clev.
