Trading Gordon would be smart, assuming we could improve our starting rotation.

Trading Gordon would be stupid. We would have to pay most of his contract and not get much in return.

We could get pretty good prospects for him. We need prospects to trade for starting pitching at the trade deadline.

what team are you imagining trading Alex Gordon to? Considering his age, contract size, and how he played so far in 2016. What team, specifically, are you thinking will trade top prospects that we could turn into starting pitching in July?

Beats me. There is always at least one GM that makes a bonehead trade every year, though. Just make him available and see what we can get. Just look at the White Sox. They are actually paying James Shields to play baseball for them right now. It's amazing.

Great argument on why we never should have signed him and why we should dump him asap

You can disagree with the signing all you like. But Gordon is a proven player who we just invested more money in than any player in team history. He can bat .188 all year and he's still going to play.

Not sure what is up with the hate for a player who has done for the Royals what Alex Gordon has done

it would be nice to go back in time and not offer the huge contract, but we can't. he is just going to have to play better. it'll probably be eibner to go down, but alex will probably get injured again after regaining his team lead in strikeouts, and then we can bring eibner back up.

have you guys ever compared 2016 attendance to 2015 attendance? it's pretty interesting.

2015 through 33 home games: 1,075,586 (32,594 avg)
2016 through 33 home games: 1,078,773 (32,690 avg)

yeah.  i don't think he's ready for mlb, if he ever will be.  one specific thing i notice is that he likes to stand pretty straight when trying to hit, while most good baseball players are more crouchy.

i know, right?  what a dumb signing that was.  many argue it was worse than infante's.

No one is trading for Alex Gordon even if we just gave him up for nothing other than absorbing all of his contract.  Lol at the idea of anyone trading any good pitching prospects for him.

Cf3, to answer your question, I'd send Flynn down. I don't think we need to carry 12 pitchers and Flynn has thrown like 1 inning in the last month.

Oops, Ourdano isn't officially on the 25 man right now, so we are actually carrying 13 pitchers. So yeah, Flynn.
