Nothing was admitted with any of these deals. We bought out the arbitration years on agreeable terms and insured ourselves against any animosity caused by arbitration hearings over the next couple years. They are no more or less likely to leave after their original time under team control than they previously were

yep. to me its like, there's nothing but the season to focus on for every player on this team (except maybe salvy)

A 2 year window when you have already played in 2 World series the previous 2 years, winning 1 is actually a really big window.

That was my thought.

mine too and we were actually fairly close to the playoffs the year before. so it's an amazingly big window and the fact that we went to the ws twice during it and won it once is just so great. if someone would have told me five years ago that the royals would go to the world series twice and win it once in the next five years if i sawed of a pinkie toe, i would have.

Everything about it was perfect. The wc game last year, the win streak in 2014. That comeback in Houston this year, the new rivalry with Toronto, Cain sprinting home all the way from first.

I'm at KCI and it appears that Rustin is on my flight to Phoenix. He really sticks out in that jean jacket of his.

Tell him how butthurt everyone is on this blog, that he doesn't have a friendly face & a denim jacket, so they want him fired. Make sure that he knows it's similar to Joe Buck type of butthurt too. TIA.

Both cases are butthurt. One hates a guy because he's a squawk, who looks dorky, etc. The other, ppl dislike because he's annoying, every fan base thinks he hates their team, etc. I really don't see that much of a difference. Haters gonna hate.

I don't like Rustin because of how shitty he appears to be at his job based on early returns.

That's how many feel about Joe Buck. Would he be where he's at without his father?

I could not possibly care less if Rustin went to ku or is a ku fan or whatever wacky. Alex Gordon is a ku fan and so am I kinda because of the Alex Gordon Transitive property.
