Oh my word. Really broad range of posts tonight. I'll address a few things:
1. Chings, Royals fans might be white, but we look like one hell of a melting pot compared to Cards fans.
2. I liked bringing in Duffy when we did, and it worked. Its just unfortunate the 9 spot was up next. The thing to do was put in Orlando or Dyson there when you bring in Duffy, and take out Rios. Then the next inning leads off with Dyson or Orlando and you still have one of those guys to PR if you need it in the 9th or whatever if the game is close. IF you don't double switch AND take out Duffy, I don't like the Mondesi move. I don't hate it, but I'd use Dyson there. If Dyson gets on, you can create a run with Escobar/Zobrist. Save Morales and hope there's a spot with runners on.
3. The Morales play, was terrible. No doubt. Use your instinct and get the DP. If you get the out at 2nd, and Granderson reaches and the run scores, so be it. Go to 2nd. Sheesh.
4. The only move I hated, was bringing in Herrera. He's so much better with a clean inning, and the game was getting away man. Let Morales fall on the sword and regroup tomorrow.
Also, I mean, the Mets are good. They won the NL. They have good players. They jumped on a couple big mistakes from Yordano, and Syndergard should be credited with battling and settling in. He was really good innings 3-6, and he came through in the Rios AB with the bases loaded. He walked Gordon, gets Rios. He's good.
All that being said, we'll win this thing in 5 games, 6 at the most.
