i don't buy the road as the reason cueto has sucked. that's just a convenient narrative for people to rationalize hope. he's sucked plenty at home for kc too. he's just been a bad pitcher for the last three months. if it was me, i don't think i'd start him at all.

mean gamescore of 7 road games (for kc) = 43.9.
of 6 home games = 51.3.

so that is significant difference. but he had three sub 40 home games, compared to two on the road. the main difference is that he had one good game at home, none on the road (and his two bad roads were really bad).

like i posted before. he's just been bad.

But he's also had the best regular season start and best postseason start for the Royals all year. This is why he's starting.

if you have any confidence in cueto, you save him for game 3 and concede the road loss but hope he surprises with an adequate performance

imo you have to do everything you can to win games 1-2 and that does not include starting cueto

Great question apple jack! But first, how are you doing today?

I spent the TOP of the 9th at the Falloon (no clams sighting) nervously nursing a moscow mule. When moustakas threw donaldson out things got weird, randomly hugging people, beer sprays, even let my bro's sister pour a beer on my head.

All of this was followed by multiple "Lets go royas!" and "USA" chants.

It was a great time to be alive.

The red sox and Nationals are even or better shots than KC. That's interesting. Must be a lot of credence given to Sox winning late in the season and to Bryce Harper.

We've been wearing the Royal Blue alternate on the road at times (not every game, of course) for most of the season. No reason to change now.
