Ventura is going to pitch a gem for us on friday night and bird poison will be flowing through toronto's veins.

i'm hugely worried.

it's a character flaw i have.  i'm v. optimistic in situations with around 60% and lower chances of the desired outcome but in situs where the desired outcome is around 80% or better, i treat those events as already being possessed and i worry about losing them.

I'm trying not to get worried. I hope the Roys take care of this Friday. (Another game I can't watch)

This rally would really be something if Ned were less dumb.

Oh yeah Ned, what an idiot. Stupid dumb Ned.

Steve Dave's untouchable list: Mack Brown, Ned Yost.

Its ok to critique Ned today SD, he left Volquez out there too long. Didn't matter though.

Is Towniecat the least confident person of all time or is he just an ERII sock?

I'm a little insulted that you're not questioning whether or not ERII is a TownieCat sock.

A few hours later, it's still stunning to me how a manager making millions did not see the second half of that inning coming. Kinda reminiscent of our offensive playcalling. If my third grade team's pitcher walks a guy, beans the next and walks the next, he's gone.

well, technically, he'd have to have seen it a batter or two before that, so the reliever could warm up.  i guess it's really important to c43 that americans don't time to wait a minute or two in the middle of innings, but i don't see why they can't just let them warm up on the mound.

You idiots, how many times has yost came out on top in these situations? Did it really matter? They still broke it open vs Herrera (granted the situation), 1 run was not winning us that game in Toronto. Volkie pitched a gem, but their guy pitched better and realized the help he would soon see in his own ball park.

I know volquez was still at a low pitch count, but it's legal to warm a guy before the bottom of the sixth. I think Price has spent more bullpen pitches than 90 percent of our pen during this year's playoffs.

Also, I'm seeing a trend in the playoffs. I'll never blame an official for an outcome, but all visiting teams strike zones are getting a bit squeezed. I just want a little consistency, but I understand how hard their job is to begin with. When Volkie and Cueto got in trouble, "they missed" pitches that were called strikes earlier in the contest.

not really. he's been fantastic in many aspects of his job, and the results are impossible to argue with, yet there are decisions he makes wrong tactically in games. its ok to admit that.

I feel very scared in my heart
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.
