I trust Youngsie maybe more than anyone in our rotation (save maybe for Volqzie) to go out there and give us 5 solid innings.

I would against any other lineup besides the Blue Jays'. It's not a good matchup for Young at all imo. I would honestly rather have Duffy start today.

come on, trust Youngsie.  he's 6'10!  he's like the george washington of pitchers.  george washington could not tell a lie, and neither can Youngsie.  trust him.

No matter what pitcher you throw out there, it's a bad match up vs the blue jays in their park. #Science #Truth

Blue Jays at home this year - 450 runs, 123 home runs.
Blue Jays on the road this year - 441 runs, 109 home runs.

Playoffs home - 24 runs, 7 home runs.
Playoffs road - 16 runs, 4 home runs.

So yeah.

80% of teams up 2 to 1 losing game 3 win the series. Got to get tonight or tomorrow though. Let's just do both.

I'm sure the umps are plenty pleased with the BJ's acting like fools up 8 runs. Umps love being shown up.

He wasn't happy, dork. He was laughing off the embarrassment. Is it going to make things better if he pouts in the corner, while his team tries to clean up his mess?
i guess you missed him and paulo yucking it up ten minutes after he was yanked. an overreaction on me maybe but it still made me mad

guys all we have to do is win today or tomorrow and i will be v. happy.

i have the same requirements for Young that I had for cueto yesterday. give me 5 or 6 innings of 2 or 3 runs and i will be extremely happy.

For some reason, I feel good about Young today.  I didn't feel good about Cueto yesterday.

However, I don't have the savvy baseball knowledge that others here have, so maybe it's more of a hope than a feeling.

love me some youngsie, but a flyball pitcher against these guys in Rogers Center seems like a bad matchup.  just minimize the damage.  hopefully we can get to dickie.

There are going to be a lot of times when balls are hit sharply through the infield for a single, then the with Young's glacial delivery they'll take second, and then a double into the gap scores them.  And rinse and repeat.

Young's a fine pitcher.  He'll get us through 5 with the game still manageable.

My concern is that the Bluejays do not have upswings, instead, they have hard swings.

I could see them pushing Volquez up to game 7, and having Cueto for game 1 in the WS, but then ppl will bitch that he could potentially be seen 3 times in the WS. Oh well, play for today....

I'd prefer not to lose games 1, 4 and 7 of the WS.

Me too Townie. Last night could have been the dagger but Cueto gave them life back.
