I'm happy with Ourdano-Cueto-Volkey-Medlen. We will be fine.

Those are interesting stats, mocat. Let's go a step further and look at how our Royals have done against the teams currently in the playoffs: 15-23

The only playoff team we have a winning record against is Pittsburgh (2-1).

Last year KC was 25-24 against the playoff teams, including 19-11 vs everyone but Detroit.

HERE WE GO ANGELS, HERE WE GO! *CLAP* *CLAP*

the angels can take 3 of 4 from Texas to end the season and win the West, facing the #2 seed Royals in the ALDS  :Wha:

we need the angels to win 2nd wildcard cuz I think they have a shot against Toronto.

to be even more specific

the Royals are 35-9 vs:

angels
rays
reds
brewers
a's
white sox

and 55-57 vs everyone else  :frown:
these numbers are a bit skewed when you think about it. i mean these guys had the division in the bag in july. how many times did yostie send out the b squad the last three months?

we played the angels last year.  it'd be boring to play them again.  i want to play new teams.

I can't imagine a scenario where I'd be bored in a playoff series.

if we swept the angels again i would still have to change my underwear several times per game and i would still pace a lot and tell everyone to quiet down because i can't hear what they're saying on TV

Even if we got swept and lost all the games 9-0, I wouldn't be bored. Depressed, angry, dead inside, but not bored

i don't think the chances of beating the crap out of the angels are very different than the chances of beating the crap out of any other team they might play.

Holland is having surgery.

i wonder if anyone signs him, eating 2016, or if they just wait and let him rehab on his own for 2017.  i wonder if the royals sign him, eating 2016.

They may very well non-tender him. I hear they're considering extensions for Hosmer and Cain. Nothing definitive, just considering at this point.

they have to non-tender him, there's no other option.  but do they non-tender him and bid him adieu, or do they non-tender him and then offer him a multi-year contract that includes his rehab time, like they did hoch and medlen?

my guess is that they sign him.  it seems like the royals like injured pitchers more than other teams do.

At this point, they should probably let him go. They have Wade and can spend the money they would otherwise pay Holly on others.

the inverted pockets thing.  that's like a fashion choice, right?  it's not just that they pull their gloves out and the pocket liner comes out and they don't notice?
