Regardless of what happens in Toronto tonight, we're still at least tied for the number 1 seed in the AL. Excuse me if I don't quit on a first place team just yet.

the royals have paid guthrie a crap ton of money and gotten very poor performance for their money.  i don't blame guthrie that the royals were stupid enough to sign him, but they don't owe him anything (other than the crap ton of buyout money that they still owe him).
