spanning 162 regular season games from 48-50 last year to 60-38 this year, the royals were 101-61. i have not checked but i am pretty sure this is by far the best record of any team ever

entering yesterday, the royals had played 148 games. you can easily see the advantage of breaking those games down into four (4) 37-game segments. the royals were 4-0 in those segments

1: 23-14
2: 21-16
3: 23-14
4: 19-18

this year the royals have scored 9 or more runs 15 times already (they are 15-0 in those games)

this year the royals OBP is .323 (5th in AL)

29 trips last year (13th in MLB)

38 trips this year (5th in MLB)

maybe you're thinking with all these home runs and triples, the royals are getting fewer doubles. i mean that makes sense because last year it felt like we hit like a million doubles. well you're a stupid moron and you're wrong.
