i would love to face the exact same teams again. losing two years in a row to the same team has got to hurt so bad. obviously we beat the giants in the world series this time tho. the revenge factor would be fantastic. also in this scenario the cardinals get swept in the nlds. so they're sad too.

i think i'd get bored with another Royals/Orioles ALCS.

ALDS: Yanks

WS: Cubs (cubs beat cards in NLDS and dodgers in NLCS)

I want nothing to do with the futility that is the Cubs. They pretty much killed a man for their last post season run, just for trying to catch a foul ball. I fear for our players safety.

imagine joc pederson trotting halfway to second because he just hit another 400 ft bomb, then realizing cain ran it down in right center. joc cannot help but flash a grin and shake his head on his way back to the dugout. duffy keeps his hat raised above his head for several seconds as cain puts his wrists on his hips and saunters back to his position in center. mattingly looks at his bench coach and grabs another stick of gum. the K is the only place that can contain joc.

game 3, bottom of the 7th. royals are up 3-1. gonzalez is on 1st with 1 out. ventura stares in at salvy, then turns slightly to his left and spits. after a nod he throws a 1-2 breaking ball to andre ethier. it's a slow grounder to short. escobar dives to his left and gets up firing to zobesie, who throws to 1st, but not in time for the double play. hosmer smiles and says "you've lost a step dre, we almost got you." ethier smiles, but his eyes give away his frustration. Puig chases the first pitch and pops out. inning over. as dyson trots in from right field, he smiles and takes his sunglasses off. he thinks to himself, the california sun has set on the dodgers, too.
