$15 million to take out that hill?  Cheyenne Zulu is cackling and crushing a Free State brew with his one man track wrecking crew.

good thing about the Royals is about half of their losses aren't real competitive games, easy to see they won't win. On the flip side, we are pretty good when the game is close and competitive

In games that are competitive, meaning the final score ends up within 1-3 runs..... Royals  are 27-15.

Blanton is what he is. A poor mans Guthrie. We've gotten more positive out of him than I expected. He was due for a start like this.

True. The walks were the worst. More walks tonight than he had all year.

this sucks.  with their best pitcher up tomorrow, this is a game it would have been nice to win.  also they needed to win it to go 15 of 20 over their last 20.

Everybody's pitched well except Joe. Finn and Hoch looked good. Jury still out on Frasor.

Didn't sprint super hard to first on a comebacker that the pitcher fielded cleanly.  Really stupid thing to be mad about, but that's people for you.

i'm not super mad but it is pretty annoying. it's like hey it's the one thing you can do and you're not even willing to do it. it would be like a pitcher refusing to pitch or a second baseman saying that he no longer wants to turn a double play. his laziness allowed the pitcher to gather himself and make an easy throw to first. juxtaposition that with the moose play at home the other day where the third baseman had to hurry, threw it high and moose scored. also add in his inability to hit the cutoff man.

If the Royals win last night then no one cares about the Dyson groundout. Hud was frustrated about the score and picked a very dumb hill to die on.

on sunday the A's announcers mentioned how ridiculous it was that Dyson did not sprint to 1st on another groundout, so it's not just Royals fans being tucky

it's a legit thing to be pissed about.  the only reason he's a mlb player is because he's fast.  for him not to play as fast as he can is absolutely Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

the entire team has looked lethargic the last three games.  i get that it's a long season and several players are mildly injured, etc.  but it'd be nice if they played harder (and smarter).

just because no one would care about it doesn't mean that it isn't an issue. it's a consistent thing with him and when combined with his inability to hit a cutoff man explains why the royals only reluctantly play him.

i mean for someone who was apparently peeved at his lack of PT earlier this season, he does not seem to be trying really hard now that he is seeing some. he is doing pretty good at the plate however.

Isn't Dyson playing kinda hurt? I recall him limping around a little last week. If he's not at 100% then I have no problem with him not running out a comebacker to the pitcher. :dunno:

Absolutely. If it's Salvy or Morales, no one cares. Granted, I know Dyson is going to go hard if he's asked to steal or scoring from first, but he can also put pressure on fielders in situations like last night with his speed and he chose not to.

When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.
