it is much easier for me to attempt a right handed swing than a left handed throw. i don't know why that is, i'm just telling you that's the way it is.

what is the ratio of switch hitters to switch throwers? like, infinity to zero?

There was a switch pitcher who made his debut a couple weeks ago. Also the Royals had one way back who started both games of a double header and threw each with a different arm.

the switch pitcher guy played at creighton and is irl buds with a guy at my office. WOW!
Yup. He's also ampedexdrist. Sp*

a good way to get a ton of legitimate email addresses for voting is to google university staff email lists. they are always public and always on one page so you can just pound out thousands of votes. for example:

http://www.washburn.edu/directory/

we should split up the universities geographically and each run through, like, 25 schools each to get our guys back on top. thoughts?

yes, good idea.

this is not a bad update.  we're going to get morales and infante in.  this is very doable.

in 2014 when the Royals scored 4 or more, they were 69-14 (.831). the Royals scored 4 or more runs 51% of the time.
in 2015 when the Royals score 4 or more, they are 36-4 (.900). the Royals are scoring 4 or more runs 56% of the time.

we all know the royals were pretty much unbeatable last year when they scored 4 runs. the thing is, they are even better at it this year (winning 90% of those games instead of 83%). also they are doing it more often (on pace to go 81-9 instead of 69-14).

you guys this is awesome  :Woot:

Yeah Mo, we are incredible when we get 4+ runs.   Despite our starters not being as effective, we are only allowing 3.58 runs per game (3.85 last year).

Our opponents actually have scored 2 or fewer (32) more than scoring 4+ (31).   The Royals have almost twice as many 4+ (40) compared to 2 or fewer (23)

hey steve dave, the next time you see george brett get him to talk about how super pud it was to learn how to throw with his off hand (whichever hand that was).  also maybe suggest that he nudge to royals about getting hosmer to work on it.

i dunno how many of you visit the mlb website, but they've had a vote for cabrera and/or vote for donaldson story up there pretty much every day for the last week.  they're probably going to try and give cruz and altuve the same treatment, although it will look even stupider for those guys.  irregardless, it's obviously working.

however much you've voted in the last few weeks, at least double it for the stretch run.  at least.

it's just like throwing with your off hand.  once you try it, you see you can master it with a little effort.  but people never even try.

Guys, someone can pound out that Washburn list I served up. I'm working down the OU directory right now. Post the name of whatever list you are voting off of so we don't duplicate efforts. Everyone has to vote over a thousand times today. OK, go.

Have we figured out if there is some sort of formula that factors in IP address? Or is it just sham email accounts they kick out? Do I need to account for this when I am #voteroyal-ing 10,000 times?

i dunno if they check ips, and if they do what the threshold is to flag an ip as potentially fraudulent.  if you are voting from a cell, you get a new ip every time you disconnect (i think, not very phone smart).  i assume the same if you are using a laptop but connect to a phone based hotspot.  so if you want to be safe, you can render the issue moot using phone connections.

george brett could throw with either hand.

so you're saying all these guys are natural right-handers that learned to bat left?  never the other way around?  why wouldn't they just be switch hitters if they were going to go to the trouble of learning to hit with their off hand?
My boy started swinging left-handed at 3. I stopped many tball coaches from trying to fix him. They were probably thrown off because he does everything else right handed
