Maybe if Miggy's team wasn't the 3rd place laughing stock of baseball, more of their fans would be voting him into the game.

How many Tigers do you follow on twitter? You and KK should get together for some games.

let's talk young-

yeah he's kind of old and tall and weird but since that surgery he's been a major ass kicker and really doesn't have a whole lot of mlb pitches on his arm. he's currently on a one year incentive laiden contract. do you try and get him for two more years right now? maybe? probably wait until after the allstar game? say screw it and just roll for whatever he can give you this year?

I love Chris Young. I think a lot of us love him up. I really hope he is on our team next year, but I just really hope he gets through this year without spending much time on the shelf

He has had a lot of shoulder issues in his career. He only started 4 gms in 2010 and 2011 due to injury. He was a below ave pitcher in his 20 starts in 2012. He didn't pitch in the majors in 2013 and only had 9 starts in minors because of injury

He is only making $675K (made 1.2 Million in 2014)and we were the only ones to offer him a deal. Doubtful anyone offers him a 2 year deal, so if he stays healthy hopefully we will make him an offer in the offseason, and he will be back cause he enjoys this team

he is actually going to make a couple of million this year (not 675k) because of incentives and he's been really good and really healthy since his surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome or whatever that took a bagillion years to figure out. like have you even read up on him and what he went through? also, you have no idea if he enjoys this team or not. get that garbage out of my face.

Garbage? Lol.  He has had more problems than the one you mentioned in his career. He was pretty good last year and even was comeback player of the year.  Yet, only 1 team gave him an offer. Why do you think that is?   You think a lot of teams still question his health and him being injury prone??

I'm worried about when he has to bat in the All Star Game WC. Does Holland have what it takes?

To be fair, Wacky's comeback would have had as many syllables as mine had he not used a contraction.

bullpen talk ---

Last year, Herrera Wade and Holland threw 70,72,62 innings respectively. We are just past the 1/3 mark. Wade and Herrera are at 26, 22 innings. Holland was on DL for a bit is only at 15.  So although our starters ave still ave just 5.5 innings per start, I'm not too worried about HDH being overused, cause right now they haven't been

Middle relief guys....
Madson has still been a great pickup, but he hasn't been as good of late.  I didn't think he would hold teams to the .133 ave (8-60) he did early in the season. He's given up 10 hits and 4 BBs in last 7.0 innings.

Morales has been really good outside of the 4 run 4 hit inning vs Clev.  His other 22 appearance, he has an ERA of 1.59 in 22.2 innings.  With a WHIP of 0.71 and batters with a .167 ave vs him

We have talked about Frasor.  He lets way too many guys on base, but still has the impressive 0.52 ERA.
Hoch has only appeared in 6 games the past month,  so hard to judge his effectiveness
Blanton is what he is (long relief) that won't be here too much longer

Ned was on 810 today. He pretty much confirmed that Finnegan ate his way out of the league this year.  :frown:

Just that he sat back on last years "success" and is super out of shape and fat now.

We need to start kicking some more ass on offense so we can have some snoozers where Hoch and Frasor can get some innings, see where they're at right now.

I get that he gained some lbs. but there's a ton of out of shape pitchers (and players for that matter).  Just wondering what that has to do with his pitching?

the good thing about baseball is that you can be super out of shape but still make millions of dollars and be pretty great at it. like, you just need one tiny muscle in your arm to be in decent shape and can then just chow down and crush beers. fin prolly let that one muscle get soft.
