You guys are being a bunch of pantywaists.

Remember when all the idiots on this board were freaking out a few days ago? Man, that sure was dumb. Kansas City is party central and will continue to be well into October.

I'm worried about when he has to bat in the All Star Game WC. Does Holland have what it takes?
God, you're dumb!
Also, you know before they used the DH in the all-star game, they always pinch hit for the pitcher. Stop being a dork and #beroyalkc1

Guys, I haven't been watching/ listening to the Royals enough this season, and it does not feel good.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Posse stat of the night.....

That was just our 2nd win when scoring 2 or fewer runs. We are now 2-17
But they have both been huge wins.....2-1 over Det and tonight

We haven't been in too many low scoring tight games this year.  The  two I mentioned, then we lost Three 2-1 games. Then we have won two and lost one game with the score is 3-2.

I only had to go back to 2009 (the last year of no ASG DH) to find a pitcher batting

Which is mostly a rarity in an all-star game, knowing that most players only get 1-3 innings, and pitchers are usually less than that. Thanks for proving my point about the NL rules being placed there less than 5 years ago too. Also, you know cf3 tells all his coffee dorks how much more he knows about baseball over his K-State internet friends all the time.

let's talk young-

yeah he's kind of old and tall and weird but since that surgery he's been a major ass kicker and really doesn't have a whole lot of mlb pitches on his arm. he's currently on a one year incentive laiden contract. do you try and get him for two more years right now? maybe? probably wait until after the allstar game? say screw it and just roll for whatever he can give you this year?

Young is 2003 Jose Lima.  That or Jeff Suppan.

We need our guys with good stuff to start pitching better. I'm not content to ride soft tossing Vargas, Young and Guts into the promise land.

I love Chris Young. I think a lot of us love him up. I really hope he is on our team next year, but I just really hope he gets through this year without spending much time on the shelf

He has had a lot of shoulder issues in his career. He only started 4 gms in 2010 and 2011 due to injury. He was a below ave pitcher in his 20 starts in 2012. He didn't pitch in the majors in 2013 and only had 9 starts in minors because of injury

He is only making $675K (made 1.2 Million in 2014)and we were the only ones to offer him a deal. Doubtful anyone offers him a 2 year deal, so if he stays healthy hopefully we will make him an offer in the offseason, and he will be back cause he enjoys this team

young can stay as long as he wants if he continues pitching this way.

he is actually going to make a couple of million this year (not 675k) because of incentives and he's been really good and really healthy since his surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome or whatever that took a bagillion years to figure out. like have you even read up on him and what he went through? also, you have no idea if he enjoys this team or not. get that garbage out of my face.

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/mlb/kansas-city-royals/article12931733.html

Young can make up to $6M this year if he hits all of his bonus marks. GMDM did a great job of signing a low risk/high reward veteran pitcher.
