Can we end this rough ridin' glass talk?!  ... More important things are happening!

Ned is going to go full on "boom yosted" all damn year, and he should.

His interactions with McCullough were great BEFORE he made the playoff run...can't imagine what this year will bring but I'd assume some sort of dick flop

These interactions are only going to get better as their relationship continues to grow. I only see this ending if Andy crosses some line with Ned that we don't know about. It's going to be a fun season.

These are great, I despise the idea of a pitch clock.

Agreed. And nothing irks me more between pitches than batters' incessant need to adjust and readjust batting gloves.

i saw like a month ago they were gonna try the pitch clock in some minor league games, i think its rough ridin' stupid.  i like the 3 things that they said in the article, keeps the game intact and doesn't change anything drastic.  if nomar types get pissed they can just rough ridin' cry about it and adapt.

I really like the Pitch clock idea. I mean obviously don't make it so that only Mark Burhele is comfortable, but I like the idea. At least for starters. There is a ton of beautiful drama in the slow pitch times from great relievers to great hitters. (i.e. Greg Holland vs Mike Trout)

i'm fine with only those rule changes, but i'd also be okay with a pitch clock.

A pitch clock would really benefit our run game.  That being said, it's a ridiculous idea.

the pitch clock thing made me think of my favorite thing about aoki. he would constantly eff with pitchers to get them out of rythem. like stepping out of the box at weird times and stuff. I always pointed it out to mrs dave who never responded or looked up from her phone but inside I think she was appreciating me showing her the more intricate parts of the game. inside probably.

adding a clock to baseball fundamentally changes what makes it a beautiful game. Ways to speed up the game without a stupid clock (I can't imagine how annoyed I'd be at games with fans counting down 5...4...3...2...1 before EVERY FREAKING PITCH):

1. The rules they're doing
2. Manager changes pitchers without going to the mound, just from the dugout like he does a pinch hitter or pinch runner
3. New pitchers entering the game don't get only 3 warm up pitches from the mound unless entering because of injury. Managers will just make them come in warm.

That would probably eliminate 12-15 minutes of needless time every game

Imagine how a soccer dork would react if they started stopping the clock on out of bounds plays, after a goal etc., and also goalies cannot use hands anymore and also the offsides rule is taken away.

That's how I feel about a pitch clock.

Imagine FSD's reaction to being told that term limits were abolished and Obama was going to run again with Bill Clinton replacing Joe Biden as running mate. Imagine ksu_FAN being told by the doctor he can't play golf anymore. Imagine Skin Ben finding out from now on all stadiums will be exactly the same with 1 master template.

That's how I'd feel about a pitch clock.

I wonder how strictly it would be enforced?

I think each pitcher should have a set amount of time to get a batter out.  If he doesn't do it in time, the batter walks.  Batter has to stay in the box.

I think they should just leave everything alone. Who really gives a crap if the game gets over 15 min earlier?

I'm happy they are looking at stuff. nothing has ever in the history of everything survived without innovating.
