Tbs's pitchTrax graphic really does improve my stickball watching experience. Didn't appreciate it until it was gone

Bumgarner doesn't look unhittable at all.  We are just sucking balls at hitting hittable pitches.

I didn't see the regular season game where we hit bumgarner but I would say it's safe to say he is operating at another level in this series.

billy did well against him

we were winning 4-1 in game 4. blowing that lead will likely cost us the world series. sucks.

Which is always his first pitch down the center fast ball

Tonight is disappointing. The game to be pissed about is last night's disaster. We blew that game, tonight we're getting beat.

The pinch hit should have been for Dyson. I agree with pitching James at least 1 more.
I do not agree with that sentiment.

i do, and i've almost disagreed with every royals pitcher at bat in this series.  shields can go an easy 6, and they need him to.  have to save hdh for kc, so only one inning each.  and none of the other pitchers can be trusted.

dyson is crap against lefties, he shouldn't have started.  but since he did, he should have been ph in that situ.

The eff is James doing batting there?
Are you serious?
Completely, he was going to start his third time through the line up the next inning. With our first runner in scoring position, in a two-run game, you play to cut the deficit in half.
Who would you bring in to pitch? I've felt we need to have our pitchers go as long as we can tonight and last night. I'm not really hbbiq. I just hated ph for Duffy last night and glad we didn't ph for James tonight.

Thoughts so far:

1) Outfielders are playing for the deep ball. Giants swing level, for the most part, so almost every one of their hits have been grounders or bloop drops in front of the OF's. With the Royals speed, pull them in closer.

2) When was the last time the Royals attempted a stolen base? Going against their strength.

3) When was the last time they used the bunt to advance a base runner? Or, even to get a runner on, as the Giants play back. Again, going against their strength.

4) Very, very rarely do they shift to the left handed batter. It has come back to bite them time and time again.

5) They used Dyson, a very weak left handed hitter, as a starter, taking Cain out of his great center fielding ability.

6) They rarely swing at the first pitch, even though the Giants predominately  use a fast ball down the middle to get ahead in the count.

7) They haven't pinch hit.

8) Not running aggressively. That's what has been scoring the runs for the Giants.

For a team built to play small-ball, they are being coached in these SF games to be a long ball hitting team.

Check the scores of all the games in SF so far. Maybe I'm not so wrong.

I'm going to take solace in the fact that we are facing the two pitchers we beat in KC.

Hence Nori. Pitching spot was changed in the double switch.
