Ned's choice to do the following looks very smart at this junction:

1. Duffy to the pen.
2. Guthrie over Vargas for game 3 (and 7)
3. Alex to the 2 spot in San Fran
4. Dyson in CF, Cain in RF for the NL games

Only things I would've done differently thus far would be to not PR with Gore in the 6th in Game 2, and maybe have Colon on the roster over Nix. Ned seemed cool and confident last night after the loss. I hope we bounce back (just like Game 2) and can play for a crown on Tuesday

Please let us win tonight.  I can't handle a game 7 in person.  I may stroke out.

If that's the case, I'll go in your stead. :D

If I stroke out before scanning my ticket Wednesday I'll leave this page open for my next of kin to see....it's all yours!

I think the Royals win tonight. The BABIP fairy really smiled upon the Giants last night, feels like the Royals are due for a little good luck this evening.

BABIP improves when you hit smoking line drives like they did.

Where is everybody watching tonight?  Debated P&L but don't want to deal with having to get there now for a seat.  Thinking maybe Martini Corner?

BABIP improves when you hit smoking line drives like they did.

At least six of their hits (when the game was still in question) were broken bats, bloops into the outfield, and ground balls through the hole. Maybe they started tattooing the ball later in the game, I wasn't paying real close attention.

Not expecting a win - I love being proved wrong.

#Royals Hosmer just tattooed 4 straight bombs over the CF wall during BP. Holland tried to climb the wall & bring one back, unsuccessfully.

#Royals Hosmer's shirt reads "Shock The World" at his pregame press conference.

Hosmer is locked in! I feel Shields is going to pitch MUCH better tonight. Also saw this quote from Yost:

#Royals Ned on if he'll re-watch these games in offseason, "No, I'm gonna lock the gate to my farm & look for a deer to have some fun with."

I don't want to believe that this guy will clown suit us again but early returns are not promising.

Sys why are you optimistic

i always swing to optimism is these situs (loss assumed, but a nonzero chance of a win).  just feels like heads = bonus win, tails = status quo to me.

and shields has been crap for almost two months.  seems like how long it normally takes before he figures out what he was doing wrong and fixes it when he gets in these funks.  could be tonight, could be a few more weeks.  but it could be tonight.
