I spent a ton a of summer noughts in my childhood with my radio on the porch tuned to the Royals game, throwing a racquetball against the garage and inventing baseball like games in my head while I listened to Denny's comforting voice

So I listened to part of the game on the MLB at bat app, I heard Denny Matthews call the game tying run in the 9th. Question is what do you Royals fans think of him? I couldn't believe his call off that run, he sounded no different than if Aoki fouled out to the catcher.

I like Denny, because him and Fred White WERE my childhood. I'm not terribly sure I'd be a huge fan if I didn't grow up with him.

What are you guys doing for the game tonight? Ms Wacky and I are doing a baseball themed dinner. Burgers, brats, homemade sweet potato fries, beer, etc.  :excited:

Yea, when I hear Denny's voice I'm immediately 10 years old again listening to Royals games while I helped my Grandpa do chores. For any kid like me who lived just far enough away that actually going to a game was rare, but close enough you had to be a Royals fan, Denny is a huge piece of your childhood.

if anybody has mlb.tv the condensed replay of tuesday's game is pretty sweet, they take out the commentators and everything so it's just the stadium noise.

why is a little weird to you? were in a 5 game series, we need more pitchers than we did for just the 1 game. nix doesnt have a hit as a royal, he doesnt need to be on the playoff roster. raul was the only position player to not play.

it makes perfect sense to me.

Well yeah, I get that, but Tim Collins has been MIA for quite sometime. I forgot he was still a thing.

Prolly luked but the Sal vs Cain videos are quite fun

Luking allowed for awesome Royals stuff. Remember your policy after we beat OU in Norman in 2012? Celebratory luking is actually encouraged I believe for big moments.
