I understand all the Ned hate, but some of you better learn how to be patient, cause if he makes the playoffs (even a WC game), he's staying whether you like it or not.

Cleveland is no joke.  They are gunning for the playoffs.

They have the manager most Royals fans can only dream of

Cleveland took advantage of their recent series with Houston and Minnesota, winning 5 of 6. But they are 11-10 in September and the Royals are 10-9, so its not like they've been a ton better. The next 3.1 games are huge and as long as the Royals keep the current 3.5 lead (2-2) I'll feel pretty good.

i assume we already did the raul pinch hit on saturday instead of billy meltdown? really wish i could have been a part of that.

Not nearly enough rage. At the time it didn't sink in how dumb it was.

Not as big a deal by why PH Dyson for aoki yesterday. Seemed dumb.

I think I'd rather miss the playoffs than deal with Ned for an extended period of time. It's already been 29 years, what's 1 more?

I'm hopeful. Best thing Royals have done all year is win on the road and let other teams beat the Tigers.

Do not know if Luked,  but Billy Butler is a "stuffer".  Weird son of a bitch.

regarding the sacrifices - aoki has been hitting great lately.  but i believe the data indicate that sac bunting to get two runners over is pretty much a coin flip vs letting all three batters hit.  so the second bunt was not an indefensible decision.  the first bunt was purportedly aoki's decision.  i don't know what to say about that.  it's weird.  the royals are kind of a weird team and aoki seems like kind of a weird dude.

Depends on the batter and specific team and opponent, but what I've seen on bunting with runners on 2nd and 3rd in tie game is that it's awash for win probability in 7th inning, and to your advantage thereafter. Never seen a defense of it in the third or fourth innings, which is when it occurred here. Especially when you're playing a team with the offensive output of the Tigers (i.e., probably going to need more than one run to win), and especially ESPECIALLY when Guthrie is on the mound. Shields is a less-worse decision, but from the analysis I've seen it was still a move that decreased the Royals' odds of winning. However, I would think it would be more to the Royals' advantage than other teams to do it anytime bottom of the sixth or thereafter, given the bullpen studs.

Predictos for remaining games? Tough matchups vs. Cleveland. Think we drop 2 of 3 to the Indians, then take 2 of 4 versus the Sox. Finish the season 3-4, and  :ohno: as we scoreboard watch.

I'm speaking the truth and you know it. They're not going to fire some guy who took a team to the playoffs for the first time in 30 years. I know Ned is a dumbass at times, but that's not going to happen.

I told Ned Yost I had a $5 bet that says Jarrod Dyson bats first tonight. He declined to comment on the likelihood of me winning the wager.

Can a HIQBB guy explain to me why Dyson doesn't hit leadoff all the time? He's in the top 1/3 on the team in OPS and Ave and despite riding the pine has in the top 3 (or did back when the Royals were bragging on their outfield D) in put outs.
