I'm not working tomorrow. If anyone needs me I'll be in a full on binge.

Holy crap, he actually told McCullough that Crow's inning is the sixth and Kelvin's is the seventh.

This is a fireable offense IMO.  Pull the trigger Dayton/Dan.

The idea that an inning belongs to a pitcher validates every awful thing i've ever said about that mouthbreather

I hope shields ends up on a playoff team next year and Alex has the good sense to GTFO after 2015.

As long as we're listing hopes I hope Ned breaks his hip tonight and Crow also breaks his hip as well

Deja vu: http://www.nysun.com/sports/yost-firing-unprecedented-but-not-necessarily/85925/

However, I know Dayton is going to ride this out and (and in spite of what I posted yesterday) I'm going to try to hop back on with some hope and optimism...

We have 3 games against the White Sox coming up. Unlike the weird ownership of us by the team from Boston (one win in seven tries), we have fared well against these Sox (8-4 on the year) and I expect (yes really) us to win 2 out of 3. Meanwhile, the Mariners have 4 against the Angels and Blue Jays have 3 against the Orioles. Heck, maybe the Rangers can steal a couple from the staggering As. (speaking of, it would be much, much worse to be an As fan right now). Going into the enormous series with the Tigers this weekend, we should still be within 2 games of the division AND be IN the playoffs for a wild card.

Hopefully these 5 losses in our last 7 tries is the worst we have left in us, in spite of offensive issues and Ned Yost managing. Guys, we can still do this, and I don't care if its "just" the 1 game Wild Card. I just want to be in and there is still legitimate and realistic hope for that. Plus, I'm just too invested to give up now.

I've been on the anti-Yost bandwagon since June. I'm to invested in the season to give up now. One last push Boyz, #beroyal.

Really don't want to win that bet I made with a colleague 3 years ago about which would come first;  a Royals playoff appearance or the season long celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the last Royals playoff (and WS) team.

I of course took the celebration season.

Boy, that 30 fewer day MLB regular season is looking better and better all the time.   We'd have already watched the Royals making their first playoff appearance in 29 years.

You can either handle the pressure or you can't. If the MLB season were 30 games shorter, this collapse just would have come sooner. Hopefully the team will follow Alex's lead and get things turned around.

Just trying to help avoid going to 30 years of (not making) postseason futility.

Hey mocat, did you see we're still (still) 1 game up in the wild card? And that's after only winning 2 of 7 games? And our closest two competitors have road series against the 2 best teams in the AL (respectively)? And we have 3 games against a team we've beaten 66.6% of the time this year?
