Only a regulation game can be suspended and then resumed. It's a regulation game if the Tigers lead after 4 1/2 innings, or are behind after 5. If the rain prevents this game from being resumed tonight, it's a "no game" and it's played over.

Nope. MLB Rule 4.12(a). The only exception would be if the game hasn't become a regulation game and weather stops it in an inning the visiting team takes the lead and the home team hasn't batted. SF scored its run to take the lead in the first inning, two innings ago.
