You guys, fever pitch is on HBO. I finally understand this movie now. :D

The movie is not about needing to be drunk to enjoy baseball, which you've stated applies to you many times.

cf3, you should really relax. i'm over our little spat. I don't want to be your and j-dubs rival.  :flush: Also, i've never stated that "many times". I was fairly talking about what a dog crap site the K has been for the last 30 years. Sorry, that's my memory of the team since i've been alive.

that was just such a tremendous dork move by frasor last night. i mean, he played there for a whopping 1.5 years. no wonder he's on his sixth team in the last five years.

It was kind of weird for sure. I liked what he did out there tho. Well, the scoreless part.

Guys, this Nick Tepesch guy the Rangers have pitching tonight is a loser. A complete, loser. He doesn't get tons of Ks, he's not overpowering, he's just about average in every way. I want a 6 run lead and another day of rest for Herrera/Davis/Holland. Tomorrow's an off day, so then we'd have those 3 completely rested for the road trip. We need a win, and it needs to be an easy one.

In other news, Verlander is making his 1st start post-scandal. I'm just hoping all this crazy TMZ stuff has gotten in his head, and he implodes tonight. I want it to get messy, like 8 runs in 3 1/3rd innings messy, with tons of stupid reporters at his locker asking personal questions and getting him mad and stuff after the game.

Let's Go Royals, Let's Go Tribe.

KC 7           Texas 2
Cleveland 9 Detroit 5

Let's go.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Jason's hot date: "Jason, I had a really nice time tonight. Thanks for taking me to dinner! I hope we can do this again!" *leans in for kiss*

Jason:  "Yeah, you know, my old girlfriend who just dumped me was ugly, but I sure miss her. I hate dating other people. Tonight was okay, I guess. "

I'm more interested in what's up with his cap. The KC looked like it was blacked out with marker.

Yeah, that's weird. If you search google pics, there are a few other images of him pitching and the KC looks dark like in the video also.

Been trying to figure that out as well. It's really bothering me.

sweat + touching his cap with dirty hands, I imagine. Honestly, his entire cap looks darker overall, like it's soaked in sweat or water.

He wasn't throwing shade in that interview. I don't have a problem with those comments. It sounded to me like he was attempting to show his former teammates some respect and he just worded it very awkwardly.

yeah it's so soon since he got traded, i can't fault him. once the question was asked i think all that was on his mind was not acting too happy in front of his former team that is absolute dog crap this year.

he played with them for a little over a year you dorks and it was something like his sixth team in the last five years. i mean the guy is going to have friends on pretty much every team in baseball now because of that. will ned have to check w/ him before he has him throw again? hey jason, who all do you know on the white sox? it made him look either super phony or super immature. take you pick.

Moose Gordon and Hos probably already went full metal jacket on him last night. No need to worry.

I doubt he has any friends. What an unconfident schmuck.

CF3.......I like your optimism......but I am on the opposite end of the spectrum...

First, in the last 10 games, the Royals have not scored more than 6 runs in a game. (I included the suspended game)
Second, in the last 10 games, the Royals have scored 21 runs, a 2.1 runs/game average..... :sdeek:

There offense has tanked recently, and we are relying to heavily on our pitching.....

Not saying we will not win tonight, but scoring 7 runs seems like about a 5 run stretch.....

The good news is, it is a middle of the week game, so the crowd should be small, so our guys should play better, since Ned thinks they don't like big crowds, so, add in another run to make up for less pressure tonight.......

My pessimistic side is taking over dangit..............
