Guys, old joke, but a classic

Q: Why is Pipe afraid of 7?

A: Because he's stupid.

You may be right CF3, or you may be wrong.

But one thing is for certain......Billy will strikeout swinging at a pitch 10 feet in front of the plate :shakesfist:

No one likes to believe in curses, but one has to think that the SI Curse struck our guys last week . That's the only way to explain their 2-5 record the week of August 25 (I'm counting the Sunday game as an L).

That said, this is a new week and it looks like we're righting the ship.

Also, tonight's starter for the Rangers is a native of none other than KCMO. He'll probably lob a few pieces of cheese to Gordo and Billy tonight to help them out.

he played with them for a little over a year you dorks and it was something like his sixth team in the last five years. i mean the guy is going to have friends on pretty much every team in baseball now because of that. will ned have to check w/ him before he has him throw again? hey jason, who all do you know on the white sox? it made him look either super phony or super immature. take you pick.

Maybe it wasn't an interview question he was prepared for, because it was a stupid rough ridin' question for goldie to ask.

Moose Gordon and Hos probably already went full metal jacket on him last night. No need to worry.
 Great post.

Shields was likely in on that jacket job, also.

I really don't think it was that dumb of a question though.  :dunno: It's pretty relevant. I always think it's intereting when players take on their old team. is this getting overplayed? Sure.

he didn't go away to year round boarding school with them. he just played a season and a half with them, so more like ten months and not twenty. he is also in the thick of a pennant race and his former team blows balls. that interview told me all i need to know about that dork. he's a big fat phony dork and i would sit far away from him on the bench if he were on my team.

It's stupid. He's a journeyman relief pitcher, not a franchise position player who was traded away from the only team he's every played for in the twilight of his career. It was a dumb rough ridin' question for Goldie to ask and Frasor had to make a quick decision between Bryce Harper'ing him and quickly putting together that awkward answer.

I vote that we shitcan Goldie and give the post game interview duties to Salvy and Alcides.

I'm glad that this Royals thread doesn't waste time discussing the postgame comments from a 37 year old relief pitcher who has been on the team for 6 weeks and has pitched about 11 innings. Amirite, SDK???

Yes I did mocat. Very much so. Thank you for asking. I hope that the union between you and future Mrs. mocat into holy matrimony coincides with the union of our Royals and the Playoffs.
