MLB Network just did a Perez update, said he was removed for precautionary reasons.  Then, went on to say he pinched a nerve in his right knee when he stutter stepped, called the patellar tendon.

This makes absolutely no sense.  This guy is just medical terms together.

Somebody break down the Rockies... Quick!

They lost their best player for the season because of a bum hip directly after he complained about his team being so terrible and wanting to be somewhere else.  Since he's the only one to break down, that's the full breakdown.  LFG.

Their pitching is awful. Their lineup is potent, but less so without Tulo. Also, Morneau might miss tonight's game with a sore neck. We'll see.

The Rockies have Justin Morneau AND Michael Cuddyer. Ryan is going to cream himself

Sorry for the fun digression, although it wasn't much dumber than the people early this year suggesting that Gordon play 3rd. Same level, IMO.

The difference is that this was obviously done in jest, just having fun with our first place Royals

This is the conversation of a fan base that hasn't rooted for a 25 man roster full of major league talent in the past 19 years. Our gut tells us that Mark Teahen shouldn't be playing second base, but who the eff else is going to play there?  :runaway:

Kratz is an amazing interview btw. I heard him at lunch today on 610. He compared hitting a big league HR to the birth of his first born.

So what players are we going to call up Sept 1st?

We going to fast track Binford?  Get some relievers with some experience with Tim Collins and Coleman?  Or positional?

Moustakas / Escobar / Infante all need occasional days off, and it should be Colon every time. But you guys keep wackying up this cathedral of a thread all you want. (there is a royals AAA thread if you're interested)

Baseball players don't need days off

It sounds like they are getting pitchers ready in Omaha.
