I will be at the game on Tuesday.  Will grab a beer with any Mile High Royals

cf3 will be there. pm him.

Went to Denver the first year the Royals played there....2000?....and man there was some real hate against Royals fans.  I wasn't sure if it was Chiefs/Broncos carryover stuff or inferiority complex of being a new team but of all the MLB stadium's I've been to, I haven't heard combined the smack talk that i heard in 2 games vs. the Rockies.

It's different now.  No one really cares about baseball that I've run into.  I'm glad they tanked and lost two of their key players though, got 9th row behind visitors dugout Tuesday for like 30 bucks.

I'm at front row but on the first base side for $30 as well.  I've been to a few Rockies games and the only time I've ever seen animosity towards opposing fans was everyone getting pissed at an obnoxious Braves fan who earned it.

let's compare remaining SOS, in terms of opponents' games above or below .500

Kansas City
Detroit +10 x 6 = 60
NY Yankees +4 x 4 = 16
Cleveland +1 x 6 = 6
Chicago -6 x 7 = -42
Boston -11 x 4 = -44
Minnesota -12 x 4 = -48
Colorado -26 x 2 = -52
Texas -28 x 6 = -168
---------------------
net (39 games) = -272
average = -7.0

Detroit
Kansas City +13 x 6 = 78
San Francisco +7 x 3 = 21
NY Yankees +4 x 3 = 12
Cleveland +1 x 7 = 7
Tampa Bay -2 x 3 = -6
Chicago -6 x 7 = -42
Minnesota -12 x 11 = -132
-------------------------
net (40 games) = -62
average = -1.6

Seattle
LA Angels +22 x 7 = 154
Oakland +22 x 6 = 132
Washington +16 x 3 = 48
Toronto +3 x 4 = 12
Boston -11 x 3 = -33
Houston -21 x 6 = -126
Philadelphia -24 x 3 = -72
Texas -28 x 7 = -196
----------------------------
net (39 games) = -81
average = -2.1

using this comparison, the Royals still have by far the easiest of the three teams' remaining schedules, as the Royals opponents are a combined 272 games below .500

it's also worth pointing out the Royals have played the #3 most difficult schedule to date, while Seattle is #14, and Detroit is #15. so these three teams' overall SOS should become closer together by the end of the season

if we win every remaining series (i'm going to count the 2-game colorado series and the yankees makeup game as 1 series), but do not sweep any of them, that is 27-12 and 95-67 and pretty unreasonable to expect.

22-17 gets them to 90-72 and that is pretty reasonable to expect:

4 vs Minnesota: 3-1
2 vs Colorado 1-1
6 vs Texas: 4-2
6 vs Cleveland: 3-3
4 vs NY Yankees: 2-2
6 vs Detroit: 2-4
7 vs Chicago: 5-2
4 vs Boston: 2-2

Yeah my prediction had us getting 24 more wins. It's aggressive but not sweeping or being swept any series.

Texas and Colorado have given up... I say 92-70

I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Vargas tonight!

Rested bullpen!

If we have to touch Holland, Davis or Herrera tonight I'll be pretty upset.

Duffy should have a 4+ run lead by the 5th inning. He sits after 6, oscar does 1 1/3, then Mariot comes in to finish the last 1 2/3

More of my reason is that May's ERA is over 12. I am not missing a decimal there.

i thought Salvy might get the night off, but not the case. tonight is probably my favorite lineup at the moment (Aoki is hot right now and Cain is not):

Aoki
Infante
Perez
Butler
Gordon
Willingham
Moustakas
Escobar
Dyson
