You know what's great?  Today is great.  Royals and Chiefs preseason viewing extravaganza.

You know what's going to be greater.  Royals playoff run during NFL reg season.

guys. why does ned do the things he does?

he's up 6 runs. he does NOT need to bring in herrera.

i swear ned can't handle the 9th inning. it's his own personal bogeyman

that being said -  :Woot:

Pretty awesome to see the full circle of life right in front of your eyes. You grow up jealous of the Yankees organization and now their fans are jealous of us.

that's what i'm talking about. ned thinks the 9th inning has some mysterious, magical element to it.

it doesn't. it's just 3 more outs. number 25, 26 and 27 of every damn ballgame ever played. the 9th inning only becomes the bogeyman when you consider it as such. if you look at it like it's any other inning, then it will be just like any other inning.

not to mention, we were up 6. so any added pressure that he may have felt in a 9th inning close situation was completely absent.

ned is a moron. i'm not sure he's ever thought critically in his life. he's one hell of an old school baseball guy tho, i'll give him that.

I get some of the criticism, but much of it is over the top.

I think sometimes he just does stuff to mess with the haters.

Keeping Ventura in after giving up a base runner with no outs was obviously unforgivable, but I can't think of a single other fuckup by Ned since the allstar break

the closer we get to the playoffs being a reality the more terrified i am that he will do something predictably dumb.

defense mechanism stuff etc..

The twins are throwing a middle schooler out there tomorrow. His era is higher than obamas approval rating. We should score a million runs tomorrow
