it doesn't. it's just 3 more outs. number 25, 26 and 27 of every damn ballgame ever played. the 9th inning only becomes the bogeyman when you consider it as such. if you look at it like it's any other inning, then it will be just like any other inning.
not to mention, we were up 6. so any added pressure that he may have felt in a 9th inning close situation was completely absent.
