Yeah they did this last year too...and then for some unknown reason, shipped the actual tickets to everybody AFTER we were already eliminated and said something like "thought fans might still like to have these".  WTF?

I just opened the invoice.  Phil -->>   :surprised:

Guys, if you want some good Royals perspective, go back and start reading right about here and go on for several more pages.

Of course, the real turning point might have happened right here, thanks to our good friend and leader of this thread CF3.

I will conclude with this: the past 2 weeks or so have been THE most fun time of my life as a Royals fan. Granted, I still remember talking some junk to my music teacher in '85 (a Cardinals fan), but I was 10 years old at the time, so that was a lot different. The only thing remotely close was 03, and we've blown that out of the water this year.

So enjoy fellow Roys!

It feels weird how much my attitude has changed about the team, meaning my expectations. Today when mocat said Salvy, Cain, and Infante were getting the day off, I wasn't worried, in fact I figured one of the bench players would be key to a win. I was running around with errands and work stuff, only half listening and following online during the game. I was listening when Alcides bunted and forced a throw into right field, only to be called out for running inside the baseline, at that point down 3-2, it seemed this was the key play to the game. However I found myself hopeful that we'd scratch out a couple, then lock it down with the pen. My mindset as a Royals fan has changed from "here we go again" to "bring it on." Momentum is an amazing thing.

Yes. Its amazing to me to go back and read through posts from just after the All Star break until we started winning in July. It was a bad time to be a fan then, but people stuck with it.

For example, j-dub during that time is miserably adorable. :D

Mine too.  but we only have a 1 game lead over seattle (who would be out of the playoffs if the season ended today).  KC, detroit, and seattle are battling for 2 playoff spots.  they are both really good imo so we've got our work cutout.
